Bail

Are you in jail and need help to get out?

Released on your own Recognisance

You may sometimes be released on your own recognisance from the jail. This means that you will be given a date on which you are to return to court in order to proceed with your charges. It is your responsibility to ensure you show up to court on the dates given to you.

Surety Release

A surety is a person who knows the accused and is a family member or friend who makes a promise to offer a sum of money or property to secure your release. A surety is responsible for the accused until the terms of your matter are dealt with.
